Food Pantry

For over 30 years, DotHouse Health has operated one of the only food pantries in the Fields Corner neighborhood of Dorchester. Our pantry serves over 1,400-1,500 individuals a month and provides healthy food to some of Dorchester’s most vulnerable citizens. We have seen a steady growth in the number of families who rely on the pantry as a source of food security and now distribute over almost 255,000 pounds of food yearly.

We do not want our neighbors and their families to go hungry. Twice-a-week, on Tuesday and Wednesday, we operate a Seniors and a Community food pantry for Dorchester and Mattapan residents. We provide a shopping bag full of healthy food which usually includes eggs, poultry, bread, vegetables and pasta.

The food pantry is managed by a dedicated group of 8 multi-lingual and diverse volunteers.

DotHouse Health also provides Emergency Food Assistance for our patients. If a patient is facing an emergency food security issue, a provider can refer them to the food pantry (even on food pantry off-days) for a bag of food.
