To acknowledge its achievements, the Dorchester House has been awarded $7 million in stimulus funding as well as numerous other grants to fund its expansion and continued distribution of services.

Our esteemed Case Management Department works with patients after they have scheduled their first medical visit and they get a referral from their primary care physician. Case managers work to streamline the path to recieving both medical assistance and community support. Learn more

Our legal connection with Ropes & Gray through the Medical-Legal Partnership of Boston provides our patients with both the clinical attention they need to get healthy as well as the legal strength to maintain healthy living standards.

The unique Acupuncture services offered here - instead of billing the patient individually for acupuncture services, acupuncture at the Dorchester House is administered by trained doctors who can then bill it to the patient’s insurance plan. Adolescent Health Services
The Dorchester House never turns away adolescents in need of care simply because of lack of experience or insurance. We work to treat them as adults and help guide them through and explain the health care process.

With its background as a settlement house, the Dorchester House has a rich history of providing a variety of health and wellness services to the public. We understand that health care stretches beyond the narrow scope of scheduled health visits, and we work with the community to ensure that a patient also maintains superior financial health, a breadth of community activities and support groups, and the benefit of being part of the largest network of health centers in the area.

Farmer’s Market - Our farmer’s market runs every tuesday from 11:30 - 1:30 and provides any consumer with fresh food and produce. EBT cards redeemed here get a 50% discount. Our farmer’s market proudly has the 2nd highest redemption of food stamps in the state.

Dot House has a multitude of parenting programs and support groups - we have two groups for moms, one in English, one in Vietnamese. We also have Dot Dads, which is our support group for new fathers to give guidance and advice to each other.

Our partnership with Dotwell and Codman Square - Together we sponsor and share community programs for the area’s youth, adults, and seniors. The Dorchester House has a pool and teen center where many of these activities take place.

School-Based Health Center
The Dorchester House offers a fully licensed and credentialed School-Based Health Center at the Harbor Middle School in Boston. Any enrolled student will be given requested services regardless of ability to pay. Learn More
